He was born in 1994 in Sárvár. He began his music studies at the city music school at the age of five and playing bassoon since he was ten. After his music school studies, he continued his education at the Szent István Király Secondary School of Music, the Liszt Ferenc University of Music and the Zurich University of the Arts. His teachers were Imre Kovács, György Keszler, György Lakatos, István Hartenstein and Matthias Rácz. He attended master classes by bassoonists Dag Jensen, Carlo Colombo and Guilhaume Santana, among others.
He has participated in many Hungarian and international competitions since he was a child. He has been actively playing in hungarian orchestras and also abroad since 2013. He has been working as the leading bassoonist of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra till date. Jákob is a regular assistant to the Liszt Ferenc Chamber Orchestra, the Concerto Budapest, the Budapest Strings and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.
